Super Bowl Week in various host cities brings huge lights, fan-packed events and sports fanatics from all over. But cleats and helmets aren’t the only things you’ll hear tapping the ground… high heels and high levels of community service also fill the gigantic week. Thanks to dedicated women who lead the Off The Field NFL Wives Association.

Style, Sisterhood & Service: The Off the Field Story
Founded in 2006, this zestful and vital non-profit bridges families, neighborhoods, and football through connections amongst NFL wives and significant others.
“Off The Field is active year-round. We host community service projects, educational workshops, and networking events during the regular season and off-season. Our mission extends beyond football—we aim to empower women, strengthen families, and uplift communities every day, President Tenisha Patterson Brown explains. Mrs. Patterson Brown is married to Everette Brown, a former NFL Linebacker who is now the assistant linebackers coach for the Carolina Panthers.
The ladies take over the host city each February, with their signature charity fashion show that raises funds for selected local charities. As Patterson Brown details, “During Super Bowl LX in San Francisco, Off The Field will host signature events that celebrate sisterhood, service, and style—our annual fashion show, networking opportunities, and charitable initiatives that benefit local nonprofits. We want attendees to know that these events are not just glamorous; they are purpose-driven, raising funds and awareness for causes that matter.”

More Than Wives, Makers
Twenty plus years of magnifying the “fun” in fundraising, has garnered hundreds of thousands of dollars in impactful donations, and tremendous community partners from coast to coast. “Philanthropy is the heartbeat of Off The Field. It allows us to leverage our platform to create meaningful change, support underserved communities, and inspire others to give back. For me personally, it’s about legacy—ensuring that our influence translates into tangible impact for those who need it most,” Patterson Brown tells us.

Chic With Purpose
America is in extremely unique times. 2025 saw more than 300,000 Black women alone, being forced out of their workplaces due to budget cuts, restructuring, position eliminations amidst politically divisive topics surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion. Off the Field leadership stands deep in the trenches with affected families and leaders know many wallets aren’t as open as in the past when it comes to donations, “Giving isn’t always financial. Time, talent, and advocacy are just as valuable. Volunteer, mentor, share resources, and amplify voices. Even small acts of kindness create ripples of change. When budgets tighten, creativity and collaboration become our greatest tools, Patterson Brown exclaims! Her team focuses on acts of kindness and mentorship that creates a legacy that long outlives the current members and founders. “We’re committed to creating opportunities that inspire, educate, and empower,” Patterson Brown states.
