The highly anticipated Girl Scout Cookie season has begun, offering more than just delicious treats. For Girl Scouts across Kentucky and Southern Indiana, the cookie program is the gateway to invaluable life skills and empowering experiences.
Every box of cookies purchased directly supports Girl Scouts in the Kentuckiana region, funding projects like service initiatives, troop travel, and summer camp adventures. This annual tradition isn’t just about cookies—it’s the world’s largest entrepreneurial program for girls, teaching goal setting, money management, decision-making, people skills, and business ethics. These young “cookie bosses” earn badges in Cookie Business, Financial Literacy, and Entrepreneurship, fueling their leadership development and preparing them for future challenges.
How to Support Girl Scouts This Cookie Season
Most cookie flavors, including classics like Thin Mints, Samoas, and Tagalongs, are $6.00 per package. Specialty flavors like S’mores and Toffee-tastic (gluten-free) are $7.00 per package. For added convenience, the Digital Cookie platform allows customers to order cookies for local delivery or shipment. Customers can even donate cookies to U.S. military service members through this platform.
Starting February 21, the Cookie Finder website (www.girlscoutcookies.org) will help locate nearby cookie booths for in-person purchases or provide an option to order cookies online for direct shipment. These booths offer a chance to meet the Girl Scouts and support their entrepreneurial efforts firsthand.
