Louisville’s favorite occult-themed coffee shop, Witches Brew Coffee, has cast a spell on the city, transforming itself into a wizard school-inspired winter wonderland. Renamed Wizards Wonderland for the season, the cafe now features enchanting decorations, specialty drinks, and a nod to the beloved Harry Potter series.
Mariah Tran, the creative mind and owner of Witches Brew Coffee, has been captivating locals with her unique fusion of fantasy and caffeine since the shop’s opening earlier this year. For the holidays, Tran decided to shift from the witchy aesthetic to embrace the magic of wizardry. “I came up with the theme because it’s different from what we already had going on. I’m really into fantasy, fairy tales, all of that stuff,” Tran shared.

Step inside Wizards Wonderland, and you’ll be greeted by floating candles, colorful house banners, and an ambiance straight out of a Hogwarts holiday celebration. The magic extends to the menu, which boasts imaginative creations like The Raven Brew Latte, a white chocolate and blueberry latte topped with cheesecake cold foam and graham cracker crumble. Other highlights include the Butter Brew Latte and Butter Brew Soda, fan-favorites inspired by the wizarding world.
Tran has also put her own twist on festive flavors. “I tried to come up with some Christmas-type flavors but wanted to do something different,” she said. “No one seems to do peanut brittle, but that’s a Christmas favorite.” The result is a selection of drinks that are as whimsical as they are delicious.
