Stephanie Renner is Counsel at Jackson Kelly PLLC. She represents business and financial institutions in a variety of matters. She especially loves working with community banks, small businesses, and entrepreneurs. She is the daughter of small business owners and has been an entrepreneur herself but has also spent a large portion of her career working as an in-house lawyer for businesses in turnaround mode and as a board member for non-profits undergoing substantial reorganization and change. She has worn many hats ranging from general counsel to head of human resources with a variety of roles in between. Having served as a trusted advisor to CEOs and corporate boards of directors, Stephanie has an intimate understanding of the challenges faced by business owners, board members, and executives.
Stephanie is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School and Anderson University. Prior to her career at Jackson Kelly, she served as the General Counsel at Limestone Bank. She has also worked as a litigator in the Santa Monica and Orange County offices of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, an AMLAW 100 firm, as well as in the Lexington office of Stites & Harbison.
She is a graduate of Leadership Lexington, Focus Louisville, Leadership Louisville, and is currently a member of the 2023 Bingham Fellows class. She was a Business First Forty under 40 honoree as well as one of Business First’s 2021 Enterprising Women. Stephanie is active in the community and has served on numerous non-profit boards and committees, including the March of Dimes, the Louisville Children’s Museum, and AVOL in Lexington.
She is the mom of two teenage boys, Jordan and Trevor and has an incredibly stubborn labradoodle named Ella.
