Plan Your First or Next Bourbon Trail Tour Here
If you’re planning to tour the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, the Frazier History Museum is giving you another way to get the most out of your trip. Frazier partnered with The Kentucky Distillers’ Association to found the The Kentucky Bourbon Trail Welcome Center, which is the official starting point of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
The Welcome Center gives tourists and locals the convenience of planning the perfect Kentucky Bourbon Trail tour with guidance from its professional concierge service, says Andy Treinen, director of marketing at Frazier. It’s all about logistics. Staffers at the center help visitors determine where they want to go, which distilleries offer cocktails after a bourbon tasting, where to find a good restaurant on the way, and how much time it will take to get to their next destination.
“There’s just this wealth of information that is out there, and our job is to understand it, curate it, and share it with visitors when they call in to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, which rings into staff at our Welcome Center,” Treinen says. The center works in tandem with The Spirit of Kentucky — a permanent exhibit devoted to celebrating bourbon and its evolution.
The exhibit, which has 20 eye-catching displays, elevates the museum experience through creativity, ingenuity, and innovation. You will see a covered bridge-style walkway featuring 4K footage of 23 different locations in Kentucky, including Red River Gorge and Cumberland Falls, and a “Bottle Hall” housing 500 bottles of every type of bourbon produced in Kentucky. One of the best parts about these new additions, Treinen says, is that they are offering a service that didn’t exist before. “We are helping to craft their tours and their experiences by giving them a baseline of additive knowledge through coming through the exhibit and sending them out on the perfect tour to fit their needs,” he says.
