The Kentucky Derby Festival begins in less than two weeks. What will you be doing to celebrate? Finding something to do won’t be a problem — but deciding what to do might be harder. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered whether you’re searching for an event to attend or planning a Derby shindig. Steal a few of these ideas from our Today’s Woman Inner Circle panel members who share their favorite Derby highlights.

“Annually, I go to the KDF Fashion Show, WineFest, Festival Unveiled, and Chow Wagon/Fest-a-Ville. I have run the miniMarathon five times and will again this year. I have been to other events such as Thunder and Run for the Rosé.”
– Stephanie Meyers, graphic designer for All Pro Championships and owner of Greenlight Design

You can pick up some style tips while attending the Kentucky Derby Festival's annual fashion show.

“My husband and I typically host friends from out of town, so entertaining at home is the party. We offer Southern hospitality and a chance for our guests to relax with a good bourbon and comfort food. On Derby day, we enjoy going to Audubon Country Club for brunch, then the Brown Hotel for a drink after our day at the track.”
– Erin Fowler, director of communications and special events, Kosair Charities

You'll find plenty of delicious treats like this specialty funnel cake at Fest-a-Ville.

“I help my sister with her Derby ‘Throwdown’ party every year. She lives near the track. We all bring food, she makes THE BEST mint juleps, and we have a $1 and $5 pool/drawing for the Derby race. We walk over to the infield around 3 or 4pm, then stay until after the Derby crowd has died down.”
– Stephanie Meyers
