Quick Tips On Preparing Your Favorite Thanksgiving Dishes

Today's Woman Now

If you're the one doing the Thanksgiving cooking, many of times it can become overwhelming. There's a lot to do and a lot to get done at a certain time so having a quick reminder can always be helpful. Here are a few of our helpful hints to keep in mind during the next few weeks.

First, your pie crust. Pie crusts can often be tricky so make sure you roll out dough that has been chilled. Also, when crimping the edge of a crust for a pumpkin pie with a pecan, praline topping, make sure your crimped edge is one inch above the lip of the pie plate. This will ensure that your pie will not flow over the edge when baking.

Next, your potatoes. If preparing a day ahead of time, store peeled and chunked uncooked
potatoes in a container with water and store in the refrigerator.
