Suffering from eaters and buyers remorse? Make some plans for this week!

Are you ready for this week? So many fun things to do and buy and see and give! Here are a few we found to keep you going...

The Mayor's Music and Art Series has a performance on Thursday during lunch -- featuring Andrea Davidson (who has been on Today's Woman's cover). Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with music at 12:10 p.m. Location: Mayor’s Gallery, 4th floor of Metro Hall, 527 W. Jefferson St.

CRAFT(s) Gallery features new work by Anessa Arehart, December 6, 6pm-10 pm. Exhibition from December 6th through December 31.

Ceramic arts students and faculty will offer a semester’s worth of creations for sale at the annual clay sale. Proceeds benefit the Hite Art Institute’s Ceramics Art Organization  Dec. 6, 8 am ‒ 8 pm, and Dec. 7, 10am -2 pm, Room 136, Studio Arts Building, 2314 S. Floyd St.

UofL Dance Theatre will perform “Clara’s Dream,” the dream sequence of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker Suite ballet. Dec. 6, 7pm; Dec. 7, 3pm and 7pm; Dec. 8, 2pm. 502.852.6878 for tickets.

December 8 join Gilda’s Club and Hosparus to create luminaries from 4-6:3pm and light a candle with them around 7 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church, 809 South Fourth St., for National Children’s Memorial Day, in remembrance of all children who have died.

Give a gift card. Almost 1,000 Kentuckiana adults and children surviving intimate partner abuse and sexual violence will rely on The Center for Women and Families’ holiday gift card drive as the sole means of providing gifts for loved ones this holiday season. The Center  prefers gift cards from the following locations: K-Mart, Target, Wal-Mart, Meijer, JCPenney, Kohl’s and local malls. 

Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing will host an “Old-Fashioned Family Holiday Festival” on December 7, from 2-7pm

The Animal Care Society, Louisville’s first No-Kill shelter, announces the 2013 BowWow Meow Boutique taking place December 6 & 7 from 10am-5pm and December 8 from 11am-5pm at 4000 Collins Avenue (Louisville, KY 40245).

Louisville Zoo’s Santa’s Safari  is on December 7-8 and 14-15 at 10am, noon and 2 pm and includes the special holiday showing of The Polar Express 4-D Experience. The Polar Express 4-D Experience runs through January 5.

University of Louisville's planetarium is hosting a party from 1-4pm on Dec. 7 and will feature holiday-themed activities for children, laser-light shows in the dome and comet cones (snow cones). $5 per person.

Holiday Open House and Wreaths and Holiday Decorating with Nature at Bernheim on December 7 from 10am-noon at Berhehim Forest. Participants will learn how to use the bounty of the season to create wreaths, swags, kissing balls, and more.
