Nov 5, 7pm Women in Bourbon with Fred Minnick, author of Whiskey Women: The Untold Story of How Women Saved Bourbon, Scotch and Irish Whiskey Westport Whiskey and Wine.

Don't miss The Muhammad Ali Center's Daughters of Greatness speaker: internationally-acclaimed activist Urmi Basu. Basu, who resides in Kolkata, India, on November 6 at 8:30am. In 2012, the critically-acclaimed documentary, Half the Sky, featured Urmi Basu and her work with the victims of human trafficking. Basu is the founder of a small non-profit, New Light, in Kolkata, India whose mission is to promote gender equality and fight violence and abuse of women and girls. Holiday Open House at Westport Village Shopping Center, November 7, 5 – 9pm.

New Albany's Governor's Ball on November 9 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 809 E. Main Street from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. The reenactment of the Governor's Ball will include live music and dances and  attire from all time periods welcome as well as formal attire. Tickets may be purchased for $20 per person by calling Patty Hughes at 812-945-7601.
